CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Theme: Academic Freedom
Suggested paper topics include social justice, book banning, freedom of thought, current teaching shortage, moves to weaken public education. Individual papers, panel discussions, and roundtables are encouraged. Conference coordinators will also consider other ongoing scholarly activities within the discipline.
Please email 300-400 word proposals to Michael Downing (downing@kutztown.edu) prior to August 1, 2023.

Afternoon sessions: 4-5:15 (accommodate 6 presenters)
Poetry reading (at Firefly?) 6-7
Social/drinks/Tavern/Pub/Other 7-?
Saturday
Coffee, tea, doughnuts. Out of town people have priority on presentations.
Sessions: Two concurrent in AF 8-9:15; 9:30-10:45; 11:00-12:15 (accommodate 18 presenters)
Lunch at McFarland Student Union Side Dining Room. Awards. 12:30-1:45
Executive board meeting after lunch Side Dining Room 2:00-3:00
Afternoon sessions: two concurrent in AF 2-3:15; 3:30-4:45 (accommodate 12 presenters)
Dinner on your own 5-7
Keynote: Saturday evening. In-person or Zoom. AF. 7-8:15
